For the seventh edition, David Meran was organizing an artist walk with serious and ironic views and reflections on one’s own real and digital existence: How will we remember our fellow human beings in the near future?

The meeting point was at Volkstheater Metro Station, where David Meran presented his new work „Das Grabtuch von Meran”, currently on display in one of the shop windows. During the walk, he will reflect on topics as iconographically charged forms of memory and the questioning of representation methods. Can our data acquire a life of their own after their death, or, to put it another way, could a digital, individual avatar be programmed from the bundling of all personal data, which acts like the real self on the basis of artificial intelligence?

These questions were discussed with artist Julian Palacz after arriving at Hegelgasse 14, 1010 Vienna. In addition, wine and pumpkin soup was served.
